Grammar updates.

01/01/2004 Update!! Update!!
Another new year, YESS!!! NOT. But the winds of time do not stop blowing for anything or anyone, so with a reluctant heart I bid farewell to 2003, and welcome 2004 with the usual hope that good things will be in store this year. Finished editing and reformatting existing pages, and with that a new year resolution could be made: never rely on a HTML editor again... more power to Notepad/Wordpad!!

07/12/2003 Update!! Update!!
Geez... going to be another new year. In the process of cleaning up the site and code, working on a php guestbook to replace the current non-working one.

(See Misc - Page Update Chronology for full updates)

Hajimemashite!
はじめまして!

My name is Ed Wyn, a twentysomething year old Malaysian. This is my page dedicated to the sharing of things to do with learning the Japanese language.

Actually I'm no expert, I sat for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) last December at the sankyū level, and I was pretty nervous about it!! However, I feel that by explaining the concepts of Japanese grammar, kanji, sentence construction etc. based on pre-existing sources and my own interpretations, I and whomever else who reads this page can all learn something, or at least provide feedback whenever I am in error.

This page is under very gradual construction. I expect lots of patience and sympathy from all you surfers out there :0) Hopefully, it will have, or eventually have the following pages: grammar; kanji; vocabulary; translations of whatever Japanese material I can lay my hands on; Japanese experiences (by me or others); Japanese books, software and other helpful materials; miscellaneous stuff.

Ensure that your browser is fitted with Japanese character recognition (download from Microsoft or Netscape pages), or install a third party text recognition software like NJStar.

However, I have two major headaches-
- Getting articles or reading passages to help present new concepts, whether vocabulary, kanji or grammar. I'm not good enough to compose a decent Japanese essay for others to learn from! Plucking from newspaper and the like is an option, but there may be copyright problems...
- Sound clips. I'm not a native speaker!

All help is welcomed and will be appreciated.
